For the second time, a Darwin northern suburbs school has earned the prestigious Apple Award, placing them among the most innovative and forward-thinking schools across the world. This unique achievement puts the school in the spotlight, celebrating it’s commitment to excellence and inspiring educational practices.

For a school with under 450 students, Anula Primary School’s global recognition of being an Apple Distinguished School is a testament to the independent investment and hard work of their whole school community.

Anula Primary School Assistant Principal Brian Hyke said he is incredibly proud of students and teachers who have led digital innovation at the school.

“Being recognised by Apple as a ‘Distinguished School’ positions Anula as one of the most innovative schools in the world,” he said.

“The award is a testament to our school’s ongoing dedication to providing students with the skills and tools they need for success in an increasingly digital world.”

Apple is committed to providing students innovative opportunities to learn and through their Apple Distinguished Schools, students get to access their education in more creative ways to realise their potential.

These educational centres of leadership and learning excellence demonstrate Apple’s vision for learning with technology.

With three key pillars –

Inspire: Lead, learn and thrive in our dynamic world.

Imagine: Empower learners to discover new possibilities.

Impact: Commit to leaving the world better than you found it.

With independent investment and dedication from the whole Anula Primary School, their teachers have incorporate technology-rich environments into their lessons, empowering students to lead, learn, discover new opportunities. This has been in a collaborative working partnership with Darwin based company, Culture Tech who are Apple Professional Learning Providers with a culture of creativity and innovation in education.
