Hi guys, I’m Mel, the face behind Territory Savvy. I was born in Darwin and spent my early childhood in Alice Springs before returning to Darwin when I was 11. The Northern Territory has always been my home and I now reside with my hubby Greg and two of our three sons. Together, we navigate the joys and challenges of parenting. (And there are plenty!)
In 2009 my family and I ran Humidity Gifts & Homewares in Cavenagh Street which kicked off my passion for local community engagement and business collaborations. Territory Savvy is a result of 16 years of showcasing the best of Darwin and our Territory lifestyle across social media.
In 2024 I introduced a new Darwin lifestyle print magazine with the help of Studio B Designs, owner Brooke and her team Stacey & Soph – alongside a talented bunch of local writers and photographers! Plus with the help of Chi, my web guy – I now have this blog!
With a love for photography and social media, I’ve been fortunate to have grown an engaged online community of nearly 35,000 followers across Territory Savvy‘s Facebook and Instagram pages. With bright, colourful and engaging content, tailored to our vibrant life and style in the Northern Territory, I hope you’ll follow along!
