Just when you thought Darwin’s foodie scene couldn’t get any better, tonight Darwin City welcomes its newest dining experience – the much-anticipated “show kitchen” in Flick’s – stage two of The Cinema Collective.

The open-air breezy pavilion that was once Darwin’s Cinema foyer, is unveiling its exciting new menu, inspired by the Territory’s melting pot of cuisines and local ingredients, with a focus on Darwin-style street-food featuring small, shareable plates.

And it’s been revealed that the new menu – Tucker @ Flick’s – is borne from emerging Darwin foodie royalty, designed by MasterChef alumni Dan Lamble, who has joined forces with The Cinema Collective’s head chef Jake Horyna. His focus is now on bringing his very own flavours to life through the large pizza oven and charcoal grill on full show, which will see a unique level of interaction that aims to place Flick’s as Darwin’s newest foodie hotspot.

The menu is uniquely Territorian and features tropical, punchy flavours and fresh local ingredients. A range of shared plates are highlighted by Kangaroo Tail Croquettes, Salty Plum pork skewers and Darwin’s version of ceviche Snapper ‘Nummus’, topped off by a range of 10 wood-fired pizzas, plus a signature show-stopping oven damper.

Head Chef at The Cinema Collective, Jake Horyna, said the Tucker @ Flick’s menu said: “This menu will complement the other dining offerings at our venue and elevate the experience so you can be a part of watching the food and chefs on display.
