Darwin’s tropical climate is no joke, especially in January when the heat can be intense. Remember to cover up with lightweight, breathable clothing, put on sunscreen, and keep hydrated throughout the day. Staying sun-smart is essential for enjoying everything Darwin’s outdoors has to offer.

For a refreshing escape, we recommend swimming during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or late afternoon. Avoid the midday heat to ensure your outdoor adventures remain pleasant and safe. With a little planning, you can make the most of the season while staying comfortable. So pack your water bottle, grab your hat, and enjoy the best of Darwin this January!

Make your adventure even more fun with the perfect swimwear for your little ones! Splash Swimwear’s kids range is available both in-store and online, offering a vibrant selection of girls and boys swimwear, along with must-have accessories to keep your family swim-ready.
