Palmerston Youth Festival Returns for 2025!

Get ready, Palmerston as one of the Top End’s most exciting youth events is back and it’s bringing more energy and creativity than ever before!

Now in its sixth year, the Palmerston Youth Festival is set to take over the city from 5 to 11 July, with a jam-packed week of free events and activities designed to inspire and celebrate our next generation.

With more than 7,000 people joining the fun in 2024, this year’s festival is turning things up a notch – bringing back community favourites while introducing new and exciting experiences for young people and families alike.

The festival launches with a bang on Saturday 5 July as Geekfest Top End kicks off! The Territory’s longest-running comic con returns for a two-day takeover of Palmerston CBD and Event Cinemas. Expect cosplay, gaming, anime and all things pop culture.

From there, the good times roll with a vibrant lineup of themed events:

7 July: NAIDOC Pool Party at SWELL: A family-friendly splash of culture and celebration

8 July: Pamper Palmy at the Rec Centre! Where self-care meets fun

9 July: Sportsfest – action-packed and all about team spirit

10 July: New for 2025 – Creative Collective, an interactive day of hands-on workshops that will get young minds thinking, making and collaborating

11 July: The grand finale, Palmy’s Got Talent, where the stage lights up with local stars in the making

And with over $15,000 in prizes and giveaways, it’s well worth getting involved. Several events and competitions require pre-registration, with entries closing throughout June so don’t wait!

This is a week that celebrates everything bold, bright and brilliant about being young in the Top End. Whether you’re there to cheer on the talent, try something new or simply soak up the good vibes – Palmerston Youth Festival 2025 is one not to miss.
