Modern Chinese with a Waterfront View

If you’re on the hunt for flavour packed dishes, fresh seafood and a dining experience that blends elegance with authenticity, Pink Chopstix at the Darwin Waterfront is calling your name.

Last year it was crowned Best New Establishment at the 2024 Hospitality NT Gold Plate Awards. This modern Chinese and seafood restaurant isn’t just about good food, it’s about creating memorable dining moments. And after our recent visit, we can confidently say: it lives up to the hype.

With a striking palette of bright pink and sleek black, Pink Chopstix delivers serious aesthetic appeal from the moment you step inside. Signature pink leather chairs, moody lighting, and classy indoor or a breezy alfresco area set the tone for an elevated, yet relaxed, evening.

Add a tropical backdrop overlooking Darwin Waterfront, paired with a great cocktail list and you’ve got yourself the perfect recipe for a midweek escape or weekend treat.

The menu is a creative celebration of modern Chinese cuisine, with a focus on daily caught local seafood and signature dishes designed to share.

Think: Live mud crabs plucked straight from the tank and flavoured your way, from Ginger & Shallot to Singapore Sweet Chilli.

Seafood platters that impress with lobster, blue swimmer crab, squid, barramundi, prawns, mussels and more.

Handmade dumplings, crisp chicken, wok-fried greens, and chef-crafted sauces that hit every note of sweet, salty and spicy.

When we visited, our group was buzzing with excitement. We honestly couldn’t stop raving about the mud crab in three different flavours, the generous seafood platter, and the creative chef specials. One friend was so impressed, she booked her family’s dinner for next week on the spot.

While Pink Chopstix could easily sit in the β€œspecial occasion” category, it’s now more accessible than ever thanks to weekday chef specials and early week offers.

Monday to Thursday Chef Specials
Black Bean Chicken Fillet + Rice + Drink $25
Crispy Skin Chicken + Rice + Drink $25
House-Made Pork Dumplings + Drink $21
Chicken in Oyster Sauce + Mixed Veg + Rice + Drink $25

*Drinks included is your choice of soft drink, juice, or beer (complimentary with meal)

Bonus: Monday to Wednesday nights
20% off both the Mud Crab and Seafood Platter
That’s right – premium seafood without the premium price tag.

Pink Chopstix isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a destination. Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner, a catch-up with friends, or a special event, they also offer private function options and takeaway too.

This family run business is a space built from a love of culinary artistry, with flavours that will leave you happy for days.
