BAM Party and Events is exactly what it set out to be, a one-stop shop to delight a child waking up on their birthday, a haven for brides-too-be, or a beautiful baby shower for a soon to be mum.

It’s about making memories and having fun, as owner and founder Marissa Lam says. The mum-of-two and Darwin local, started the business out of a small store that has recently relocated to a larger space in the same complex at shop 1, 132 Smith Street in Darwin City, this allows her to stock unique products not found in larger department stores alongside her personal and friendly customer service to match.
“While I was on maternity leave my priorities changed and I wanted a more creative outlet to the work I was previously doing. I had always thought Darwin needed a nice party shop and my thoughts during that time changed from ‘someone should do it’ to ‘maybe I should do it.’”
And that idea has evolved into what it is now – a light and bright party store which stocks party items for kids, brides, and baby showers alike, gifts, and balloons galore. For little boys you’ll find construction theme party supplies and little girls will love the floral inspired decorations just to name a few, but for the Territorian at heart there’s plenty of croc party supplies to go around.
“We have a huge range of balloons for any occasion and offer helium inflation in store as well as grab and go balloon garlands and balloon installations. We can even deliver to your home, venue or hotel room giving you one less thing to worry about on party day. Of course we love celebrating throughout the year whether it’s Halloween or Christmas or any other special occasions and we’re the only store in Darwin that offers balloon recycling so the fun doesn’t stop after the party.”
