In the ever-changing Darwin rental market, one team offers a steady helping hand.

When you walk into the Habitat Real Estate office in The Gardens youβre greeted by a wall of framed photos of local properties. Thereβs a classic Troppo treehouse, a modern townhouse, and a Fannie Bay dreamhouse on the exclusive East Point Road. These very different houses all have one thing in common: Habitat.
βA lot of these properties weβve managed for over 10 plus years,β says Habitat Director and Principal, Emma Mansfield, who founded the property management agency 16 years ago at her cornflake-covered kitchen table.

Today, Habitat has a beautifully-styled, local-art-adorned office β with the aforementioned photo wall β a team of 11, and manages all different types of properties surrounding Darwin, from acreage in Humpty Doo to executive furnished properties in the city!
The Habitat agents aim to look after less properties than what is standard, so as to ensure the best professional service possible.
Habitatβs motto is: βBe proactive, know the answer before the question is asked.β Habitat is also thrilled to now be offering the extra service of Sales with our recent expansion. We wanted to be able to offer as much service to our clients as possible!

βWe pride ourselves on our professionalism and being able to provide solutions to our clients. That comes with experience and good training. Most of us are long term Territorians also which is great!β says Emma, who is a mum of three (plus Alfie the Spoodle), and a born-and-bred Territorian.
βIf we donβt know the answer, we will work as a team to find out and get back to you!β

Emma is generous with her local knowledge β both with her team, and with her clients. When a tenant whoβd recently moved to town from down south asked her to call a pest exterminator because the frogs in her backyard pond were so loud she couldnβt hear the TV, Emma politely explained that there wasnβt an exterminator in the Top End who would kill a green tree frog, and that mating season would be over soon. Do you want to know the best part of that βonly in Darwinβ story?
The tenant is now a landlord.Β
