Meet the master’s behind Oh Boy Scrolls

Q&A Danielle Andreoli

The Oh Boy Scrolls team L to R: Bart, Wieslawa and Adam
Oh Boy Scrolls Oh Classic

Adam, an Engineer and Bart, a personal trainer, might seem like an unlikely duo to take over Darwin’s pastry scene – but that’s exactly what they’ve done.

Together, they’re the team behind Oh Boy Scrolls, the cult sensation that has Darwin taste buds buzzing. With each perfectly crafted scroll, they’re proving that passion, creativity and a little bit of sugar can go a long way.

Tell us how it began?

It all started in 2022, when we bonded over fitness and good food at the gym. Bart was baking treats for his clients; Adam was making cheesecakes for his co-workers and everyone loved them. Together they decided to combine their strengths and Oh Boy Scrolls was born!

What’s your favourite flavour?

Bart: My favourite flavour used to be the Oh Classic with vanilla, but now it’s the new Oh Biscoff!

Adam: Oh Pistachio, the combination of white chocolate and pistachio frosting hits the perfect balance of sweet and nutty.

Oh Boy Scrolls – Oh Classic, Oh Pistachio, Oh Biscoff

When did you realise your business was becoming popular?

Bart: At the gym where I work, everyone asked about scrolls instead of training tips.

Adam: The moment it hit me was while I was shopping at Woolies, someone stopped me and asked, ‘Hey, Are you the scrolls guy?’ That’s when I knew Oh Boy Scrolls was rolling!

What’s the best reaction you’ve ever received from someone trying your baked goods?

Bart: It was a little girl trying our scrolls. She dipped her face in the frosting and looked at me as if she was enchanted and licked everything on her scroll.

Adam: A husband came to pick up a box of scrolls his wife had ordered and ate them all before she even tried one! Safe to say, he was a big fan!

How can people order and where do they find you?

You can order online through our store at http://ohboyscrolls.cococart.com or visit us at our Sunday pop up at Gateway Shopping Centre!
