With an array of captivating scents and vibrant displays, these three locally owned retail stores, effortlessly captivate the senses from the moment you step inside.

Elevated Boutique – Shop 2, 42 Parap Road, Parap NT 0820

Introducing an enchanting retail haven, Elevated Boutique in Parap, offers distinctive Australian women’s fashion designs and exquisite natural fabrics for your, something-special or everyday wardrobe. This popular, locally owned store has been open for nearly 20 years, originally upstairs in Cavenagh Street, Darwin City and now Parap Shopping Village. They are open Tuesday to Saturday adjacent to the charming Little Miss Flowers and Parap Fine Foods. They also offer in store AFTERPAY and old fashion lay-bys. Pop in and see the gorgeous Sharon and explore her carefully curated range of women’s fashion, accessories, jewellery, gifts and homewares.

Paraphernalia – Shop 3, 3 Parap Shopping Village, Parap NT 0820

One of Darwin’s most iconic gift and homewares stores Paraphernalia in Parap (nestled in between Mad About Coffee and the Arafura Catering Equipment) will celebrate their 21st birthday at the end of the year. We recently caught up with the owner Paula Milatos who shared that she initially started the store with two friends, which then became one and last year, Paula took over full ownership. Offering an extensive range of gifts for all ages and all budgets. From baby and kid’s clothes, toys and trinkets to leather handbags, jewellery, candles, diffusers, skin care and homewares, to cookbooks, tea and coffee cups, vases, clocks, mirrors and so much more. Paula and her daughter Dim have spoilt Darwin locals with their extensive selection.

Aboriginal Bush Traders – Shop 4, 19 Smith Street Mall, Darwin City, NT 0800

On Bennett Street, opposite Tourism Top End in Darwin City, Aboriginal Bush Traders is an exciting starting point for your gift list! Offering a diverse range, including excellent corporate gifts, Aboriginal Bush Traders is a 100% not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to directly supporting Indigenous artists and communities in the Top End. Let Belinda and her friendly team introduce you to the artist stories behind each piece. Allow yourself some quality time to explore and you can even grab a coffee and snack in their adjacent café!
